You're here to build the technical backbone of a company that's scaling fast and doing it with a small, high-output team.
We are a Danish sperm bank, and we're now building modern life science infrastructure for the entire fertility industry. A full SaaS platform spanning the fertility space. That requires serious engineering. That's where you come in.
You'll own and evolve our technical stack end to end from core platform services and data infrastructure, to AI-driven analytics, integrations, and the systems that keep a fast-growing regulated business running internationally. You'll work closely with the CTO and the rest of the team to turn ambitious product ideas into production-ready systems.
This isn't a "sit quietly and write code" role. You'll be deeply embedded in the business, understanding how fertility clinics, sperm banks, and patients interact with our platform, where friction lives, and how technology can eliminate it. You'll ship fast, iterate constantly, and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
You'll report to the CTO directly.
The role is at our office in Aarhus.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining our SaaS platform.
- Developing AI-driven features: analytics, automation, and intelligent workflows across the platform.
- Owning the full development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring.
- Building integrations between clinical systems, external platforms, and internal services.
- Working closely with non-technical team members to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
- You will have the opportunity to expand responsibilities as the company grows.
Qualifications
- Significant experience as a software developer. You've built and shipped production systems, not just prototypes.
- Strong across the stack. You're comfortable with backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and frontend.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI/ML integration, connecting LLMs, building agent workflows, working with embeddings, retrieval systems, or similar.
- Comfortable with process automation, data pipelines, and making systems talk to each other.
- Detail oriented. You get things right. Others might describe you as nitpicky. That's perfect when building large-scale automated solutions.
- Pragmatic and independent. You can take a vague problem, figure out the right approach, and deliver without someone handing you a spec.
- Comfortable operating what you build. You don't throw things over the wall you own it, monitor it, and fix it when it breaks.
- This is a hybrid role where deep technical ability meets real business impact. If you only want to work on isolated technical problems with no business context, this role is not for you.
- NOTE: Experience from this industry is not required, and provides only a slight advantage.
Perks
- Mad startup energy. Hang out with business builders and strong operators. Grow faster than you otherwise would.
- The chance to build something truly, legitimately amazing.
- Technical ownership. You won't be ticket number 4,037 in a backlog. You'll decide what gets built and how.
- Barista coffee (requires you be the barista).
- Easy commute access from Aarhus and surrounding area by car and train.
- Flexibility. We work hard, and it's intense, but we trust each other with a lot of flexibility for errands, how hours are placed during the day, placement of holiday days etc.
- The chance to be the foundational technical hire at a company that's scaling internationally with the career upside that comes with it.
