Our impressions
Donor Axel is a truly sympathetic man with a genuine desire to become a donor, as he wants to help others who face challenges on the path to creating a family. Axel is a very welcoming person with an outgoing and warm presence. He happily talks about his passion for nature and his active lifestyle, which includes martial arts, working out, and freediving. In this way, Axel is a man with many interests and a great zest for life.
Axel has beautiful greenish eyes and a smile that spreads positive energy to those around him. His active daily life is clearly reflected in his physical appearance. All in all, Axel is a donor with a charming exterior and a captivating personality.
I’m a skilled craftsman, a passionate cook, a nature lover, a good massage therapist, and someone who is always there for my friends and family. It’s the little details that make me who I am and make me special.
What instruments do you play?
I play harmonica.
Why do you want to become a sperm donor?
I don’t have children myself, and probably never will, but I want to give others the opportunity to have children.
What are your personal strengths?
I am always willing to see my own mistakes as something I need to improve, always in motion and curious about what makes me the person I am. I am goal-oriented and stubborn, I work well in teams where I can also be allowed to lead and distribute.
What do friendships mean to you?
Friendships are proof to me that I am not alone in this world. They are a network of loving souls who are there for me through thick and thin. They are people who make me laugh when I’m sad and support me when I need it. They are a mirror that shows me my strengths and weaknesses and helps me become a better version of myself.
Friendships are one of the most valuable gifts we can receive in life. They are a source of happiness, joy and meaning. And they are a reminder that we all need each other to thrive.
Hobbies and interests
What sports do you like to participate in?
I freedive because it gives me peace of mind and body. I train with kettlebells because I want to stay in shape.
What are your hobbies?
I am very curious about cooking and my garden, I have a great interest in growing (and eating) chili. I also like crafts like carving, and writing poetry is also something I enjoy a lot.
Questions
How would you describe your mother?
My mother is a caring and strong person who is always there for me. She is wise, patient and inspiring, and she has a deep understanding of life. She is a source of love and support and she motivates me to strive for my dreams.
What does family mean to you?
My family is my safe haven. They are always there, no matter what. They support me, love me and give me strength. They are my best friends and I am very grateful for them.
How would friends and family describe you?
They would probably say that I’m a supportive person. They can always count on me through thick and thin. They would probably also emphasize my honesty. My sense of humor is also part of my personality and I love to make my friends laugh, even when times are tough. Caring for the feelings and needs of others is important to me and I think people feel valued in my company. I’ve always had a dream of traveling to Japan, I want to experience the culture alongside tourism to see the real Japan and dive into their food and artisan culture.
What's your favourite childhood memory?
The sun was shining and we were playing hide and seek in the woods. My friend shouted from the stream: “Come on, jump in!” I hesitated, but jumped in. The water was freezing cold and we screamed with laughter. Wet and frozen, but happy, we ran home. His mother was waiting with a smile and two large cups of tea, she had heard us screaming from the house. We got dry clothes on and sat in the living room and talked about it all.
What's your biggest dream or goal in life?
That I don’t stagnate, always moving forward and evolving. That I never stop looking myself in the eye and working on myself.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the fact that despite challenges in my life, I have reached a place where I am happy and satisfied with the life I live. I’m proud that I show up for family and friends. I’m proud that I figured out I wasn’t going to university, I gave it a chance and realized I was meant for something else. I’m proud that I was able to let go of the shame that came with “giving up” and realize that it was ultimately a very self-loving act.
What was your childhood dream job?
Becoming a fighter pilot.
What sort of friend are you?
I am an honest and caring friend. I’m not afraid to show up for the people who matter to me.

Evaluation
The donor has chosen to donate because he wants to do something good for other people. He wants to grant others a gift they can’t receive elsewhere. The donor does not have kids of his own, and he also views this as an opportunity to put life into the world without becoming a father.
Intelligence:
In terms of intelligence, the donor has performed within the average of his age group on the screening test. He can be said to analyze complexity and handle new problems on par with most other people; some things will be easier for him, some things less so.
Personality:
In terms of personality, the donor can be defined by having a richer emotional life and an almost overactive inner mind compared to other people. The donor has a tendency to worry more than most, and he can have a lower threshold for frustration than other people. He can be filled with pessimistic thoughts from time to time, but despite this he always has a fundamental optimism that everything’s going to be all right in the end. However, he can spend much more time than most preparing for negative outcomes and preemptively solving potential risks.
The donor also seems to have a high focus on what other people think. Earlier in his life, he admits he was living more based on other people’s opinions rather than his own desires, which is something he’s been changing lately. He can come across as someone with more mood swings than most and a very passionate mindset with some degree of emotionality. At the same time, he might have more trouble than others handling stressful periods of his life, and it will take some time for him to recuperate. He might also spend time worrying about things that never actually come to pass, which end up taking unnecessary energy.
Socially, the donor seems somewhat introverted, though he has a kind and warm demeanor when meeting new people. It can be taxing for him to be at social gatherings where he must interact with multiple people at the same time, while he works much better socially “one-on-one”. He can spend long periods of time recharging by himself or with close friends.
The donor does like to live a life of excitement and challenge too, though, as he enjoys things like free diving, for example. He seems to feel a bit more alive when there’s something interesting to experience. The donor has a deep curiosity for many different aspects of life, and he has a very rich fantasy life. He’s aesthetically interested, especially regarding senses such as smells, tastes and touch. He has completed training as a sauna master and really enjoys the experience it brings.
The donor can feel emotions with a stronger impact than most others, and he enjoys spending time pondering big questions and being visionary. The donor can seem less grounded than others to some people, as his mind is very active and fanciful. He’s been trying recently to ground himself a bit more. The donor really enjoys cooking as well as trying out new combinations of tastes and so on. During corona, the donor lost his sense of smell, which was a very tough period for him, as it precluded him from some of the best experiences about cooking and tasting food, for example.
Values and interests:
He is a person who does enjoy recognition and receiving positive feedback, but he’s not particularly well versed in receiving it, which can feel awkward for him. The donor is not assertive or puts himself forward, as he is very conscious of other people and their needs. He can look out for his own interests as well, but since he is quite taken with other people’s opinions, it is important for him that others are happy, and by extension, also happy with him.
It is important for the donor not to be pushy or competitive in a professional setting, as that also has consequences for other people, for example. The donor has a great degree of sympathy with the plight of other people, and he will seek to help when he can. It will be context-dependent, though, when he is more strategic and skeptical about the intentions of others and when he needs to look out for himself. The donor spent 10 years in a relationship, where he didn’t give space and time to his own desires, which taught him how to remember to take care of oneself.
Work moral and self perception:
In terms of work ethic, the donor can be said to enjoy the leisure of life and not take many things too seriously. He does have some degree of self-discipline, but unlike others, he seems to not be able to achieve many personal goals he sets. He is an intuitive decision-maker with a sense of competence, but he is also very selective about what he puts his passions into and where he dedicates himself fully. Other obligations and responsibilities that don’t hold his interests might not receive the same attention. The donor is very aware of keeping agreements and living up to what other people expect of him.
Having a normal IQ means the donor has the reasoning and problem solving skills of a normal person. In the case of our donors we use the people on the job market in Denmark to define a normal person.
