Our impressions
Donor Flair is a smiling young man who comes across as someone full of zest for life. He has a good sense of humor and often makes jokes when he visits the clinic, spreading joy around him. He has an evident energy and mentions that he enjoys going to festivals. He shows a clear desire to become a donor, motivated by a wish to pass on his genes without wanting children of his own. His commitment to helping others is a significant reason behind his decision to become a donor, reflecting his altruistic nature and thoughtful outlook on life.
Flair has previously been in an accident, which has resulted in various long-term effects, including memory difficulties. This is noticeable in him, but he compensates in the best possible way, partly by being highly structured in his planning.
In terms of appearance, Flair is a very fit young man who many would describe as attractive. He has kind eyes, curly blond hair, and a sweet smile. Combined with his caring and positive personality, this makes him an overall charming, Scandinavian-looking man that many would find appealing and engaging.
I’m a fighter and I always achieve what I set my mind to. I don’t give up, so anything is possible.
My fighter ability and determination is the reason why I’m as far as I am after my fall in 2012.
For example, I never eat or drink sugar and I never drink alcohol. Once I set a goal, I stick to it and it’s easy for me to be steadfast. I cycle everywhere, and a 1.5-hour sauna session as a sauna master is something I take with a smile, as it gives me good exercise and joy of life to move. At the same time, there is a huge joy in being able to enrich others with a nice sauna ritual.
Which instruments do you play?
I’ve always wanted to learn to play the piano, but it takes time and has to be a priority.
Why do you want to be a donor?
I want to be a donor because I know I have some good genes and characteristics that I want to pass on. I want to help others who can’t have children, even though I don’t have children myself.
What are some traits that make you special?
My personal strengths are my determination and physical endurance. I also love animals and they love me. I care a lot about keeping my home clean and tidy. I am also strong both physically and mentally.
Hobbies and interests
Which sports do you like to participate in?
My main sports interests are volleyball, fitness, yoga, swimming, hockey, winter swimming, crossfit, cycling and dance.
What are your hobbies and interests?
One of my hobbies is doing something physical, as it fills me with joy and I get satisfaction from showing myself that I can. Sauna is also one of my hobbies and I am a sauna master in an association. I am also a karma dancer and enjoy spreading joy and lots of fun, love and dance. I have no inhibitions, which I think is so great.
I also love my choir and I love singing.
Questions
How would you describe your mother?
My mother is always loving, especially towards her children, and I feel pretty well prioritized and we have a close relationship.
My mom is a really nice person and we have the same outlook on life for the most part. We both do dancing and are sauna masters together. However, the dancing is more or less closed due to lack of enrollment. My mother is enterprising, resourceful and a great family person.
How would you describe your father?
My father is the Boss.
I’ve always looked up to my parents in different ways. But my dad has probably been a primary reason for my current job. I could also visit him and his girlfriend unexpectedly and be treated like a stay-at-home son.
What does your family mean to you?
My family means everything to me. Even though we are not together that often, they still mean a lot to me, especially the close family. They support me in my everyday life and we get together for several events like Christmas and Easter time. In addition, we often spend New Year’s Eve together.
How my friends would describe me:
I’m a really good friend who always puts others’ satisfaction before my own. Therefore, I am a really good friend once you get to know me.
How my family would describe me:
I’m a really good guy who has found a way to have time to be active in choir, volleyball, yoga, swimming, fitness, language learning and still have time for work and household chores.
What is your dream travel destination?
I dream of going to Japan again, I’ve been there once. I love that their culture is so different from ours. That country gives me a very special feeling and they receive others in humility and love and respect. In addition, their nature is very special and unique.
What are some of your best experiences?
My best childhood memory is from the time we lived in a newly renovated farmhouse with a spa and sauna, which I used a lot. It also happened that I brought a girl home with me, but that wasn’t a big deal back then. The house also had a first floor with an office and a pool table, which was also a nice place for me.
What are you most proud of?
What I’m most proud of is that I fought my way back to life after my accident, and that fight will continue for the rest of my life.
I have really fought my way back, including doing vision training every day for 1.5 years for 1 hour a day - except for 14 days when I was on vacation in Turkey.
In addition, I’m always learning 3 languages in Dulingo so I can challenge my brain.
I’m also proud of the fact that I cycle to everything.
What was your biggest dream as a child?
I dreamt of becoming a navy seal when I was a child.
How would you describe yourself as a friend?
I’m a really good friend who always puts other people’s satisfaction before my own, and that’s why I’m a really good friend once you get to know me.
What do friendships mean to you?
Friendships mean togetherness, support and shared experiences. I feel this especially through volleyball practice and choir/singing. However, I also have a really good friendship with myself.
I feel like I have some good genes that I want to pass on, but I don’t want to have children myself.

Evaluation
The donor has chosen to donate because of a wish to help others. The donor has tried to apply for another donor program before, but there was some misconception that ended up discontinuing his application process. He has since then applied again to actualize his wish to aid where he can.
In terms of personality, the donor is expected to be very outgoing and sociable. Others will likely see him as very open and easy to interact with, where he is very optimistic, joyous and easygoing at the same time. The donor prefers spending time with other people, but he actively stays out of the limelight or stays away from seeking influence and control of a group. He is much more content with letting others be the decision makers. The donor might sometimes find it a bit dull or unsettling to be alone for longer periods of time. He is a big fan of excitement and wants to experience much of what life has to offer, especially if it grants some form of adrenaline boost. The donor has a tendency to downplay potential negative outcomes or risks. He can enjoy having a lot on his plate at any one time, but sometimes he will prefer spending time on one thing at a time rather than having a full calendar.
The donor is largely very logical, pragmatic and rationally oriented. He doesn’t view himself as particularly creative or like the daydreaming type. The donor seems more concerned with the real world and what is at hand than imagining what can or could’ve been. The donor has some aesthetic sense, but it is very context dependent. He might be utterly fascinated by music while art and architecture doesn’t stimulate him at all. The donor enjoys his routines and his daily life without too much variation. He works as a florist and works with repackaging wares for supermarkets and is very content with doing so. The donor is practical and concrete in his thinking and doesn’t want to overintellectualize topics or engage in many philosophical dialogues, although sometimes it might be engaging for him. He is very tolerant and open towards the viewpoints and values of other people, though, and is capable of changing his own principles for new ones that better suit his attitudes at a given time.
The donor is quite trusting, amicable and diplomatic in his approach to other people. He can take confrontations if needed and he feels a personal repsonsibility to do so, but in general he will seek to keep good relations with most people. He is very sympathetic and has a soft spot for the troubles of others. He can be very hesitant to do something with negative consequences for others. People might see the donor as a bit naïve and too trusting sometimes. He prefers honesty and being straightforward with others, which can also make him a bit unstrategic in his communications.
Others will likely enjoy working with or spending time with him because of his helpfulness and tendency to put others before himself, but this can also come at the cost of personal needs or boundaries. The donor might also have trouble identifying his own boundaries, as he is expected to be extremely calm and without a worry in the world. He almost never experiences negative thoughts or emotions, and he doesn’t have high outbursts of passion, which can also make it hard for some people to read his emotional state. He is very comfortable with his own persona and doesn’t see a need to change himself for other people, but his low temper might make it hard for him to establish boundaries with other people. He is very good at handling pressure and stressful periods without succumbing to the challenge. The donor has a very clear sense of his own abilities and takes on responsibility and is very dutiful in his approach to deals, tasks and agreements. He is expected to be punctual, orderly and deliberate in his thinking. The donor prefers being analytical and understanding a problem or decision fully before tackling it. He has high standards for his own work and that of others, and he seems ambitious in his projects. The donor can be very self-critical from time to time and think that no performance is ever really good enough. He is fairly good at setting goals for himself and reaching them. He will likely be one to flaunt some achievements and seek recognition for his work if it’s something he’s proud of.
This donor has experienced a physical accident that makes it impossible to IQ score him. The donor is high-functioning but experiences severe short term memory challenges. This accident has no impact on genetics, and we're confident in recommending donor Flair to prospective parents.
