Psychologist opinion
Evaluation
This psychologist review is exclusively based on personality and intelligence test results. This being due to the donor’s profile being a result of an international collaboration. The personality test used in this review is also different from the usual test used for Donor Network’s donor candidates, but it is constructed and validated via the same principles and theoretical framework.
Intelligence:
In terms of intelligence, the donor has performed within the average of the general population. He can be expected to analyze complexity on par with most other people. He will be quick to learn some things, others less so. The donor doesn’t seem to have any particular area of intelligence, where he either excels or falls behind.
Personality:
In terms of personality, the donor can overall be said to be more of an independent character with a high degree of self-control and patience. He is expected to rarely experience negative emotions or anger. Others might sometimes wish for more of a reaction from the donor, so that his passions and emotions are better known to other people.
He seems to be a person who is confident in his own persona and his decisions, which makes him less prone to seek advice and support from others. He’s most likely optimistic most of the time, and he will quickly recover from negative experiences or tend to tone them down. To others, he doesn’t seem to be too afraid of coming across as embarrassing, but then again, he’s also not very likely to flaunt his personality in big ways around others. He will likely be more withdrawn, reserved and introverted, compared to most other people.
Socially, the donor is not likely to take charge or seek much influence at all. While he can sometimes be resourceful and decisive, it’s more likely that he will go off on his own and act, rather than seeking group consensus and discussion. In cases where he is involved in group discussions, he’s more likely to be listening than talking and then going with the group’s decision. He might enjoy activities and excursions where he’s not in the spotlight or must influence others. Most of his opinions might be kept to himself, to not invite confrontation, conflict or challenges. In this way, at least socially, the donor doesn’t seem to be much of a risk taker, and he can be slow to trust others and feel completely comfortable in the company of others. It’s more likely that the donor has a close group of friends and not a broad network of people. While trust might be slow to build, once it’s there, the donor is likely to be very loyal and devoted, as long as the trust isn’t broken. While he might be slow to trust, in most cases, he will come across as friendly and diplomatic.
Compared to others, he might just need to “recharge” by himself more often than others, especially if he must deal with new relations and acquaintances. He can be helpful and sympathetic towards others, but he’s not likely to sacrifice his own needs to satisfy the needs of others. In the eyes of those around him, the donor will probably seem like a kind, introverted, quiet, rational and practical person who enjoys life rather than works hard, sometimes.
Work moral and self-perception:
In terms of work ethic, the donor is likely to be more of a concrete and traditional person than others. He’s not expected to be viewed as the most creative person in the world, and he is more practically oriented and focused on what’s in front of him. He will likely be more comfortable being a problem solver rather than a visionary. He’s expected to prefer predictability, structure, safety and planning as opposed to flexibility and more chaotic and dynamic approaches to tasks. Others might see him as a bit of a stickler for the rules, but he gets the job done with precision, tidyness and detail-orientation.
The donor can be passionate and ambitious in some areas of life, but most of the time, he’s not as focused on achieving things but rather focused on enjoying life. There’s a good chance he’s not a very competitive person. The donor might be more affected by changes to plans and chaotic circumstances than others would be. He is also expected to be mostly confident in his abilities but also aware that there are things which are better left in the hands of other, more competent people in some areas. He’s likely to see himself as an organized and logical person who puts reason and deliberation before emotions and impulsivity.
Having a normal IQ means the donor has the reasoning and problem solving skills of a normal person. In the case of our donors we use the people on the job market in Denmark to define a normal person.
