Our impressions

Nils comes across as warm, grounded, and genuinely motivated by a desire to help others start a family. It is clear that family is his greatest source of comfort and the thing he values above all else. He speaks about his own children with real pride and tenderness. His decision to donate feels less like an impulse and more like something he's carried and considered for years, rooted in a wish to share the joy his own children have brought him.

He's easy to talk to, with a calm, friendly manner and a good sense of humour that puts people at ease. There is a practical side to him: he's the type who'd rather fix something himself than talk about fixing it. Alongside that, he has a surprising range of interests, from brewing mead, strength training, fishing, and computers, to dreaming of trips to Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Friends and family reportedly see him as loyal, fair, and dependable, someone who shows up when it matters, and that same steadiness came through clearly in person.

Hi
I’d like to be a donor because I know how much it means to some people to have the chance to start a family. The thought of being able to help someone have a child fills me with joy and gives meaning to my everyday life.
I love children and enjoy their curiosity and sense of humour. It’s wonderful to watch them learn, grow, and discover the world in their own unique way. I’ve had many wonderful experiences with my own children, children in my family, and among friends, and it’s always been something I’ve cherished deeply.
As a person, I’m caring, honest, and responsible. I care deeply about family, friends, and close relationships, and I always try to treat people with humour and respect. I’m physically active, curious, and love learning new little things, like trying a new sport or experimenting in the kitchen.
I hope that my contribution can bring you some of the joy that children bring to life. It feels meaningful to be able to help you fulfill your dream of starting a family.
I send you all my support and warm thoughts with this message.

Psychologist opinion

Evaluation
The donor chose to donate because he has been thinking about the idea for a couple of years now. He has since had children of his own and wants to share that joy with others. The main reason is to be of service to others.

Intelligence:
In terms of intelligence, the donor performed above average for his age group on the screening test. He can be considered a quick learner in many ways and will likely be good at understanding complex problems and patterns faster than most people. Others will likely see him as someone with a mind that works quickly and efficiently.

Personality:
In terms of personality, the donor can largely be described as someone who doesn’t have many worries in life. He seems to handle stressful situations and periods in his life well, without needing much time to recover. He can at times display a short temper and frustration, especially if someone does something the wrong way, despite having been told repeatedly how to do things correctly. The donor can set boundaries and call people out if he feels a boundary has been crossed. Most of the time, however, he will likely be perceived by others as cheerful, positive, and optimistic. The Donor can at times be pessimistic and focused on the negative, but this is not necessarily a regular occurrence. Others will likely find him charming, approachable, and sociable. He will be good at connecting with new people and building social networks. The donor doesn’t mind taking on responsibility and seeking influence, and he seems comfortable in his own company but prefers to spend time with other people. He is an active person compared to most others and will quickly become restless if nothing is happening in his life. He enjoys helping others, which is also exemplified by his role as a union representative at his workplace. The donor sometimes focuses more on what other people need than on what he himself needs. He is likely a strong believer in personal responsibility and has little patience for beggars or the like. In some ways, the donor may come across as a bit cold and insensitive, but he is also good at making tough decisions. If you are not part of his social circle or inner circle, he does not seem to pay much attention to your problems. He is a modest person with little need to highlight his own personal achievements. The Donor can be trusting of others, but also knows not to place complete trust in everyone. He’ll be quick to point out inconsistencies and has no problem facing confrontations or resolving conflicts. In this way, the donor is good at being critical of authority figures and quick to call out “nonsense.”

Values and Interests:
The Donor seems to have a variety of interests, but he doesn’t change his routines or daily activities very often. The Donor seems to enjoy strength training, which he does every day he can, and for extended periods. He enjoys life as a parent and can quickly get used to the same basic schedule most days of the week. He leaves room for spontaneity. He likes going to parties and bars, and the donor also has a deep appreciation for board games and concerts. He has a great passion for cooking and strives for perfection. It brings him great joy when others enjoy his dishes and what he creates. Most of his activities involve other people, turning them into social events. He is a very practical person, which also helps him in his work with automation—a highly logic-oriented field. Others would likely describe him as quite down-to-earth and pragmatic, without much concern for larger, more abstract worries, problems, or ideas. The donor describes himself as somewhat old-fashioned and has a traditional worldview, about which he can be a bit stubborn or conservative, even though he respects other people’s values and perspectives.

Work Ethic and Self-Perception:
When it comes to work ethic, the donor is generally a confident person with a certain sense of structure and order. Others would likely describe him as a hard worker who gladly takes on extra shifts and assumes responsibility, which can also make it difficult for him to let go of that responsibility. He is likely very disciplined and good at maintaining good habits to achieve personal goals. The donor is deliberate in his thinking and prefers to be precise rather than intuitive. He sets a high standard for himself and others and can be quite critical. In this way, he can be seen as something of a perfectionist, but he is not necessarily unreasonable in his demands, as his work requires precision and adherence to proper procedures.

IQ Test Summary
An IQ of 140 means that, if the Donor is in a room with 100 people he is most likely the most intelligent person in the room. There is no support for any downside to higher cognitive ability and no evidence for a threshold beyond which greater scores cease to be beneficial. Thus, greater cognitive ability is generally advantageous—and virtually never detrimental.
The most important single heritable trait that explains socioeconomic success is the general mental ability as measured by a good IQ test like the one Donor-Network uses. It is typically more important than any other single heritable trait.
