Our impressions
Njal is a warm and genuine person who speaks openly about his motivation for becoming a donor. He firmly believes everyone deserves the chance to become a parent. In person, he comes across exactly as his profile suggests: smiling, relaxed, and easy to talk to, with a natural charisma that makes conversation feel effortless. Family and friendships are clearly central to who he is. He is deeply close to both his parents, crediting his mother for shaping his empathy and values, and his father for modeling quiet acts of kindness toward strangers. Among friends, he is known as the energetic, dependable one, and having moved several times, he has an impressive ability to build genuine connections wherever he goes.
Physically, he is a tall, athletic man with dark curly hair, brown eyes, and a naturally olive complexion. He has played basketball for eight years and enjoys a wide range of other sports. What makes him stand out beyond his looks is a genuinely creative spirit – he paints regularly and has launched two clothing brands. He carries himself with quiet confidence and a cheerful outlook that leaves a distinctly positive impression.
I'm good at painting and anything to do with a ball.
What instruments do you play?
A little bit of drums.
Hobbies and interests
What sports do you like to participate in?
I like everything to do with a ball, but my favorite is basketball which I have been doing for 8 years. Other than that, I love football, tennis, badminton, swimming, golf and handball.
What are your hobbies?
I'm interested in painting in my spare time. I like it because it's a form of meditation where it's just me, my paintings and music.
Questions
What does family mean to you?
My family means a lot to me. Without them I don't think I could live. But at the same time, I could use a break away from them or travel. However, I will always come back.
How would friends and family describe you?
My friends would probably describe me as the fun one in the group of friends and the one who always wants to do something. My family would probably say I'm the creative one in the family. They would would probably also say that I'm always the one who talks to the old people at events because I like talking to people, especially those who have funny stories to tell.
Where is your dream travel destination?
I would prefer to travel to Bali. I love travelling all over the world but have never been there yet. Another option could be the USA again. I would like to do a road trip across the whole country.
To have a job that is free. In the sense that it is not a "9 to 5" job but rather one where I decide for myself. I want to be financially independent and have everything I need.
What are you most proud of?
I'm probably most proud of the fact that I'm happy with what I do in my everyday life. I've started selling my paintings and getting it up and running so I'm very proud of that too. A third thing could be that I have started 2 successful clothing brands from scratch.
Describe some of your best experiences.
My best experience is probably the trip I had with my brother to LA. Me and my brother have always been very close and have travelled alone together before but never for such a long time. Back then it was just my brother and I who flew to LA, rented a huge Jeep wrangler and lived our best lives. When we were there it was like the city swallowed us up and we fell completely in love with the city.
Describe some of your best experiences.
How would you describe your own personality?
If I had to put me into words, it would probably be that I think a lot about others. As I said, I'm very outgoing as a person, I'm also creative and very physical.
What was your childhood dream job?
I dreamed of becoming an actor.
What do friendships mean to you?
Friendships are a big thing for me. As I said earlier, I can make friends all over the place. Now I have moved a few times and it is very nice to have friends all over Denmark.
The secret of happiness is freedom, the secret of freedom is courage.

Evaluation
The donor chose to donate because he saw an ad on social media where he decided to research the topic of fertility treatments further. The donor then decided that he wanted to help others while being able to travel with the money set aside for the donation.
Intelligence:
In terms of intelligence, the donor has performed within the average for his age group on the intelligence test. He would likely be described by others as someone with an average cognitive capacity. He may learn some things faster than others. Other times, he may be slower than others to analyze and understand complex problems or patterns.
Personality:
In terms of personality, the donor can generally be described as calm and collected with an optimistic outlook on life. Others are likely to see him as a happy and content person who doesn't focus too much on what others think of him. He may appear relaxed and jovial. The donor is likely to have a stable mood without too many mood swings, although it's not impossible for him to be sad or irritated at times. When partying with friends, he may get frustrated when others interfere with them having a good time. However, not in a violent way. The donor is likely to face stressful situations and pressures with a calm attitude. He notices that his father gets stressed and confused easily, which is something he tries to avoid for the same reason. The donor may in some cases worry, be sad or overwhelmed by negativity, especially when it comes to areas of life that are of vital importance to him. It will be highly context-dependent when this happens, and it will not be often. But in this respect, he is like most other people, usually calm and happy, rarely affected by negativity. He is likely to be described by others as a charismatic person who is good at meeting new people and creating new social networks. In his youth, he moved around more than the average person and changed schools. In this changing environment, he quickly made new friends and bonded with people. Socially, he can switch between needing to be alone or with others. The donor will soon travel to Italy on his own, signaling independence, but he also does this to meet new people along the way and have new experiences, signaling a social element. The donor is expected to prefer to have many different things to do and can quickly become restless or bored. It is context dependent when he prefers to take responsibility and be influential and when he wants to be in the background, socially. He is not a big risk-taker or "adrenaline junkie" but prefers excitement in his life through new adventures and travel. Although he is open to meeting new people, it will still take some time for him to show his true self and trust others with his inner being. He is slow to trust others and quick to be skeptical, which can also make him seem a little biased in the eyes of others, although he also has a sympathetic side that tends to make him show compassion towards less fortunate people. He is likely to seek recognition for his achievements and experiences, and he is not shy about highlighting his skills.
Values and interests:
Overall, the donor seems to have a clear creative side. He seems to enjoy art and aesthetics, and he has an imaginative mind with a good ability to use his imagination. He dreams vividly and often remembers dreams from the last few days. The donor paints regularly, if not daily. He likes cultural activities and is very interested in beauty compared to most people. He can be interested and curious about emotions, but like the average person, it will be context dependent when he is good at reading a room and paying attention to the emotional states of others and when he is not. He has some routines and traditions in his life, but also enjoys variety. The donor has values and principles in life that he can be stubborn about and it can be difficult for most people to change their minds. However, he has a friend who can be persuasive, which means he is sometimes receptive to the right arguments, although his opinions may backfire later. He can be philosophically and academically curious to a certain extent, but not in all areas. At the time of the conversation with the donor, he said that he had just dropped out of school because it wasn't for him at all. He believes in helping other people and wants to be the person who stops to help people in trouble instead of walking away. He can be critical of others and doesn't mind taking a confrontation from time to time if he deems it necessary.
Work ethic and self-image:
In terms of work ethic, the donor can largely be described as a confident person who is selective about where he puts his efforts, as is the case with most people. He can be orderly and neat, but also messy and chaotic at times. The Donor can be dutiful and disciplined as well as lax and more hedonistic.
Having a normal IQ means the donor has the reasoning and problem solving skills of a normal person. In the case of our donors we use the people on the job market in Denmark to define a normal person.
