Our impressions

From the moment you meet Orvar, it's clear why people are drawn to him. Warm, funny, and genuinely sociable, his family and friends describe him as someone who is always ready to help and never shies away from an honest conversation when it counts. His motivation for donating is rooted in a real moment of perspective. Orvar's friends who had struggled with fertility opened his eyes, and he hasn't looked back since. This is a decision made from the heart.

Day to day, he's driven and optimistic with a calm, structured approach to life. He leads a team professionally and brings the same steady energy home. He's a football man who has also tried his hand at judo, basketball and badminton, and dreams of surfing in Hawaii. Outside of sport, he's quietly passionate about investments and long-term planning, which tells you something about how he approaches life in general: with patience, intention, and an eye on the horizon.

Psychologist opinion

Evaluation
The donor chose to donate because of an experience he had earlier in his life. When he was with his former partner, they got pregnant on their first try and when they told friends about it, there were mixed reactions. Some were sad because they had been through long fertility treatment programs themselves. These stories broadened the donor's perspective on fertility and he has thought a lot about donating since. He feels that now is the right time to do it, not for the money, but to give others options.

Intelligence:
In terms of intelligence, the donor has performed within the average for his age group. He can be said to analyze complexity and understand new topics on par with most other people. Some things he will be quick to understand, other things less so.

Personality:
In terms of personality, the donor can generally be said to prefer the company of others rather than spending time alone. It can be slightly context-dependent when he is open and welcoming versus being more reserved and more shy. But in general, the donor is quite sociable. He is likely to enjoy having a lot to do most of the time and he seems to be more attracted to excitement than most other people, although there may be some forms of excitement he does not explicitly seek out. He enjoys competition and can get a rush when playing soccer with good team coordination. The donor is predominantly optimistic and has a fundamental belief in positive outcomes. He is a manager in a large retail company and has a natural preference for influence and control in social settings. He likes to be the decision maker and take the spotlight from time to time. Others are also likely to see him as a calm and controlled person who doesn't lose his temper in most situations. Although he has a temper, it takes a lot to bring it out in him and he hasn't scolded or yelled at his employees in the three years he has been a leader in his current position. The Donor doesn't mind taking confrontations if he deems them necessary, and he can be critical of others when the situation calls for it, rather than seeking diplomacy and trying to maintain an amicable relationship. He is likely to be described as someone who wants to be honest and straightforward with others, but there are also situations where he sees the value in being political and strategic in his communication, especially in conflict situations between two colleagues. The Donor can be a bit impulsive in certain circumstances, but this is not a main trait that would characterize him to any great extent. He is rarely plagued by negative emotions or major mood swings. Instead, others are likely to see him as a very calm person with a good ability to handle pressure and stress. He describes himself as someone who has a structured and good overview of his life at the moment. He is not very worried as he is quite confident in his ability to keep things at home in order. Compared to others, he is perhaps more reactive to problems than proactive, but he is definitely also interested in doing things right the first time.

Values and interests:
The Donor seems to have varied interests, and it will be highly context-dependent when he expresses one set of interests over another. He generally seems to enjoy variety, but not too much. He can be pragmatic and concrete in his thinking, preferring to deal with the world in front of him in a down-to-earth way rather than being abstract and imaginative. The Donor is a very visual individual and prefers to be shown things rather than told. He can be creative in some cases, but this is not his main characteristic. Usually others will see him as a logical and rational thinking individual, but he is not devoid of emotions and can recognize their value in certain circumstances. He is likely to be described by others as a trusting individual who believes in the good in other people until they prove otherwise. He has an "open door" policy at work and always wants friends to know they can count on him and ask him for help, but sometimes his own busy schedule can prevent him from living up to these intentions.

Work ethic and self-perception:
In terms of work ethic, the donor is largely a confident person with a preference for structure, order and a dutiful approach to work. He takes great responsibility and is ambitious with his work and the personal goals he sets for himself. In his private life, the donor has set himself the task of renovating his entire house, which seems like a good challenge for him. He is disciplined and takes pride in being professional and delivering quality solutions. He can be critical and set a high standard for others to follow, but he sees it as natural to want to achieve something with his work.
