What does your family mean to you?

My family means a lot to me. We are very close and I spend a lot of time with my mother, father, sister, brother-in-law, niece, grandmother and grandfather in particular. My niece just turned 1 and she ist the most wonderful child.

How would your family describe you?

I am often described as a humorous person who is fun to spend time with. I am present and understanding, and people around me feel comfortable opening up to me.

What is your dream travel destination?

I would like to visit South America, especially Peru, which is supposed to have a magnificent nature, fascinating architecture and a lot of interesting traditions. I have also always wanted to visit Greenland, which is supposed to be a unique natural experience.

What are some of your best experiences?

I have travelled to many different countries and experienced many things, but the best experiences for me are the moments when I have been completely present in the moment and felt a deep sense of calm and connection. This can be through deep conversations, moments in nature, meditation or when listening to music.

How would you describe your personality?

I consider myself as an empathetic person who gets along well with all people. I meet others where they are and I am a good listener. I am often told that I have a good sense of humour and that I am fun to spend time with.

What was your dream when you were a child?

When I was young, I spent a lot of time in front of the computer and wanted to design websites or code. Later, I dreamed of becoming an investigator, which is in line with my current job, where I work on anti-money launderig.

Friendships mean a lot to me and I hope and believe that my current friendships are for life. In my opinion, a good friendship is one that is not limited to a certain activity. Cognitive profile

Intelligence is a very general mental capability that, among other things, involves the ability to reason, plan, solve problems, think abstractly, comprehend complex ideas, learn quickly and learn from experience. It is not merely book learning, a narrow academic skill, or test-taking smarts. Rather, it reflects a broader and deeper capability for comprehending our surroundings- “catching on”, “making sense” of things, or “figuring out” what to do. Ability measured in youth has a positive association with most occupational, educational, health, and social outcomes later in life.

Donor Smith has a score of 141, which puts him in the "Gifted" category.

An IQ of 141 means that, if the Donor is in a room with 100 people, he is most likely the most intelligent person in the room. There is no support for any downside to higher cognitive ability and no evidence for a threshold beyond which greater scores cease to be beneficial. Thus, greater cognitive ability is generally advantageous—and virtually never detrimental.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for purchasing sperm from your sperm bank online?

Purchasing sperm from our online store is a simple process. First, you'll need to create an account on our website. Once you've registered, you can browse our selection of available sperm donors.

Each donor has a detailed profile that includes information such as physical characteristics, medical history, and personal interests. You can filter donors based on your preferences and choose the one that best matches your needs.

Once you've made your selection, you can place an order online and make the necessary payment. We'll then ship the sperm sample to your chosen fertility clinic or medical facility for insemination. Our team is available to answer any questions you may have throughout the process.

Do you provide any guarantees or refunds if the sperm sample doesn’t result in a successful pregnancy?

You will be able to get a refund on your purchased straws if they are still in our stock. Once they have been shipped, it is not possible to send them back, as the product and the shipment process are not suitable for returns. However, your fee for the pregnancy quota will be reimbursed in case of an unsuccessful pregnancy.

You can read more about our terms and conditions here on our website.

What criteria do donors have to meet?

At Donor-Network, we have the most comprehensive screening process on the market. We require the following of each donor:

  • They must be between the ages of 18 and 45
  • They must pass our extensive medical, genetic and personal screening process
  • Our staff must feel comfortable about recommending them to their own patients
  • They must have a clean criminal record
  • They must have an IQ score within the normal range or above
  • They can not become a sperm donor if they have previously donated sperm at another sperm bank
  • They can not become a sperm donor if they were adopted or a donor-conceived child themselves, as we require a comprehensive understanding of their family’s medical history.

We also require for them to undergo personal meetings and consultations with our therapist. This all makes it possible for us confidently recommend each donor to our own patients.

Can I see donor profiles or receive non-identifying information about donors?

Here on our web page, we have a wide selection of donors, that you can view. In the profiles you will find their family history, personal characteristics, baby and adult photos, voice recording, personality and IQ test, psychological evaluation, our impression of the donor and much more.

Is the donor's medical history available?

Yes. We make a medical summary of each donor, describing their results from the medical and genetic screening. In this document, you’ll find the donor’s medical history as well.

How many straws of sperm should I consider purchasing for my desired family size?

Our general rule of thumb is to secure 2-3 straws for one child, depending on your individual choice of method and your age. We always recommend consulting your fertility-provider if you are unsure.

If you want to have two children using the same donor, you should consider purchasing double and have it stored with us until you’re ready for the next child. We also offer the option to use a donor exclusively for your family. This way, you will make sure, that your future child won’t have any other donor siblings.

Can I choose specific physical or personal characteristics for the donor?

We have a wide selection of donors on our website, carrying a wide variety of physical and personal characteristics. Using our filter system, you can find the donors that match your wishes the most and compare them to each other in the comfort of your home.

What is the cost of purchasing donor sperm, and are there any additional fees?

The price depends on the type of donor and the quality of the sperm – In the donor overview it is easy to find the price for each donor and their straws of various qualities.

Additional fees may include shipping or storing of sperm, pregnancy quota or any additional services such as our exclusive donor service.

Is there a possibility of having siblings with the same donor in the future?

Yes. If you acquire a quota on your desired donor, you will always have the right to use the same donor.

However, if your desired donor’s straws are out of stock you will not be sure you can buy further straws. You can consider our exclusive donor service. With that, you make sure that your chosen donor will not be used to inseminate any other family, securing the stock of their straws.

Do you offer any counseling or support services for individuals or couples considering donor sperm?

At Donor-Network we are always here to help. We offer free non-binding meetings where you can ask all the questions you need, and we are always happy to discuss your concerns regarding your choice of starting a family with donor sperm.

What happens if I want to change donors after starting the process?

It will be possible to change your mind at any time before your insemination. Although, you will only get a refund on your purchased straws if they are still in our storage. Once they have been shipped, it is not possible to send them back, as the product and the shipment process are not suitable for returns.

You can read more about our terms and conditions here on our website.

What happens if the donor becomes unavailable in the future?

If the donor becomes unavailable in the future, it’s likely because they reached their limit of pregnancies, or their straws are out of stock. Therefore, we recommend that you secure your desired amount of sperm from the donor, and have it stored for when you’re ready for your child or second child.

Can I use my own doctor for insemination, or do I have to work exclusively with your clinics?

We ship to any health professional, so you can work with whomever you like.
