A History of Excellence

From its inception, Pedieos IVF Center has been a leader in reproductive innovation – not just in Cyprus and Greece, but globally.

Pedieos IVF Center was the first worldwide to have achieved pregnancy with globozoospermia, a rare but severe disorder in male infertility where the spermatozoa are characterized by 100% round-headed spermatozoa lacking an acrosome. (Human Reproduction, 1995, Vol.10, Issue 4, pp. 880–882 – Case Report)
The center was also featured in the GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS (1992–1993) for achieving a pregnancy at the highest recorded maternal age in the world at that time.
Our work, “Comparison outcome of fresh and vitrified donor oocytes in an egg sharing donation program” (Fertility and Sterility, 2011, Vol. 95, Issue 6, p. 1996–2000), has been published in a leading peer-reviewed journal, demonstrating clinical success using both fresh and vitrified donor eggs.
